Hawaii Here I Come

Hi Luanne

I wanted to send you a note as I will not be able to attend the last class. I first and foremost want to thank you for providing the study group and the abundance of information, inspiration and humor that you provided. I'm still working with the "bloated belly", but have begun to incorporate exercise into my daily life. I love the rebounder and now that it is getting warmer, I am starting to jog outside which I also enjoy very much. I have practiced yoga on and off for many years and find it compliments the cardio nicely. While I may not be at my ideal weight (or what I believe is ideal), many changes have occurred for me and not the way I expected. The changes are subtle but profound. I feel very happy and positive most of the time. I have asserted myself in situations I found difficult before i.e., I have asked co-workers to stop smoking near my office area, as well as in the bathroom and it has made a huge difference. I san on this resentment for almost two years with the fear of rocking the boat. I recently refused dental x-rays at the time of my cleaning and did so politely and automatically, without fear and apology --- this is a wonderful welcome change for me. Most of all, my relationships have been thriving and I am able to speak my mind without going into victim mode or reacting. I have asked for things I need and have taken care of myself differently than before. I have learned to say no even to my family when I previously felt guilty and would "take care" of things. My boyfriend and I are enjoying each other more than ever before and I am actually going to Hawaii for 3 weeks with my boyfriend and am very excited. My food and diet have become second nature. By the way, the tips on food like teecino and silk creamer have been real treats. These are a peak into some of the changes in my life and I await greater things still to come. Well, I wanted to have some sort of "closure" and express my gratitude. I wish you all of the best in your new home and I am sure that I will be seeing you in the future. Thank you, Luanne.

Best regards,
MG
